Eligibility Self-Check
Before proceeding to your free consultation, please review the basic requirements for joining our agency. These standards are in place to ensure a safe environment and high-quality matches for all members.
- Serious Intent Only: We strictly limit membership to those seeking a lifelong partner. Casual dating is not permitted.
- Zero Tolerance for Improper Motives: Especially for non-Japanese nationals, enrollment for the following purposes is strictly prohibited and will be refused:
- Aiming primarily to obtain a status of residence (Spouse Visa, Permanent Residency, etc.).
- Looking for a "financial sponsor" for tuition, living expenses, etc.
- Age & Marital Status: Applicants must be 20 years of age or older and legally single (never married, divorced, or widowed are all welcome).
- Financial Independence: We ask for financial stability in anticipation of married life.
- Men: Must have a stable profession and income sufficient to support a family (Approx. 4 million JPY+).
- Women: Must be financially independent enough to cover their own activity fees.
- Overseas Residents: Must have the financial means to cover travel expenses to Japan and visa application costs.
- Proficiency: Ability to communicate smoothly in everyday situations in either Japanese or English.
- Interpreter Rule: If you are not fluent in the above languages, accompaniment by an interpreter during the first meeting is a mandatory requirement (please arrange this yourself).
- Compliance: You promise to abide by the agency’s rules and act with integrity towards other members.
- Cultural Understanding: You possess an attitude of respect for Japanese lifestyle and customs, and are willing to adapt flexibly.
- Residence Flexibility: You must be willing to discuss post-marriage residence (Japan or home country) with your partner rather than making unilateral demands.
- Proof of Authenticity: To ensure safety, you must submit official documents such as proof of identity, education, income (men only), and a single status certificate within the designated deadline.
- Document Validity: Proof of identity and single status certificates must be original copies issued within the last 3 months. Other documents (such as education and income proofs) may be submitted as copies.
Free Counseling (Online Available)
First, a counselor will listen carefully to your views on marriage, your dating history, and your goals (e.g., "By when do you want to get married?"). There is absolutely no high-pressure sales, so please relax and consult with us.
- Understanding Your Situation & Goal Setting: Please tell us about your ideal married life and partner. It is okay if your ideas are vague. Through dialogue, we will help you visualize the path to marriage.
- Matching Simulation: In addition to explaining the system, we will use actual data to show you how many members meet your criteria, allowing you to check the potential for matching.
- Online & Global Support: We can consult with you from anywhere in the world using Google Meet or Zoom.
Enrollment & Profile Creation
If you are satisfied with our system and policies, we will proceed with the formal contract. This is the first step toward marriage. Professionals will fully support your preparation to maximize your appeal.
- Contract & Initial Interview: We will conduct an interview to confirm future activity policies along with the contract procedures.
- For Tokyo Area Residents: We will explain everything carefully in person (we can come to you).
- For Distant/Overseas Residents: Everything can be completed via online video calls and digital/mailed contracts.
- Creating a "Winning" Profile: From an objective professional perspective, your counselor will create and edit a self-introduction text that highlights your charm. We also provide thorough support for photos—crucial for first impressions—including studio recommendations and advice on attire.
- Initial Strategy Session: Once documents are submitted and system registration is complete, we will design concrete marriage goals and schedules, and provide a detailed explanation of activity rules and important precautions. Once ready, your activity begins!
Partner Search
Using the IBJ network, the largest marriage agency network in Japan, you can look for a partner 24 hours a day from your computer or smartphone.
- Diverse Search Options: You can match based not only on conditions but also on hobbies, values, and chemistry.
- Recommendations from Your Counselor: Your counselor offers multifaceted support, including analyzing your "Favorite List" and introducing members via AI matching.
The First Meeting (Omiai)
If both parties express a desire to meet, a First Meeting (Omiai) is arranged. Please spend about 60 minutes having tea at a hotel lounge or similar venue to see if your personalities and vibes match.
- Full Coordination Support: The counselor handles all adjustments for the date and time/location.
- Online Option: For those living overseas or far away, online Omiai via Zoom is also possible.
- Safety Rule: Contact information is not exchanged on the day. Results are reported through the counselor by noon the next day, ensuring your personal privacy is protected.
Trial Dating (Non-exclusive)
If you hit it off at the first meeting, you proceed to "Trial Dating" (Kari-Kosai). Through lunch dates or half-day outings, you will get to know each other's values more deeply. You will share feedback with your counselor to carefully assess if the person is a suitable future partner.
- Parallel Dating Allowed: During this period, you can have meetings and dates with multiple people simultaneously.
Serious Dating (Exclusive Relationship)
You step up to an exclusive relationship with one person with marriage in mind. You will share realistic expectations regarding work, housing, family planning, and in the case of international marriage, the "country of residence." Concerns that are hard to ask directly can be confirmed or adjusted through your counselor.
- One-on-One Focus: Meetings and dating with others end here, and you will cherish the time with just the two of you.
The Proposal
Once both of your feelings are solidified, it is finally time for the proposal.
- Thorough Proposal Support: Your counselor will coordinate with the partner's agency to confirm their "current feelings" in advance. We suggest the surest timing after confirming that the partner is waiting for a proposal.
- Planning Support: We can assist with proposal consultation, as well as introducing affiliated restaurants, wedding venues, and ring selection with exclusive benefits.
Engagement (Seikon)
If the proposal is successful and the intent to marry is confirmed by both parties, you have officially reached "Engagement" (Seikon)!
- After-Sales Support: We continue to provide free support for your new beginning. This includes advice on wedding venues and housing, introduction to exclusive discounts, and for international couples, introductions to specialists for "marriage registration" and "spouse visas."
